About the Space
Step into the Retro Electronics Lab just 9 miles east of Downtown LA. This period-appropriate, high-tech environment blends racks of vintage electronics, microscopes, soldering stations, spare parts, and functioning oscilloscopes to create an organic workspace perfect for mad science, hacker energy, or authentic laboratory scenes. Key Features – Retro electronics racks, microscopes, soldering irons, and spare parts – Functioning oscilloscopes for period-accurate realism – Multiple workstations and technical benches – Individually switchable white overhead lighting – Dedicated slots to clip in your own tube lights – Dimmable white lighting over the central table – Vintage computers and monitors for period-accurate filming – Organic and versatile lab layout with layered detail Scouting We offer complimentary 30-minute scouts prior to booking. Let us know when you would like to come by, and we will find a time that works. Equipment Rules All electronics, tools, and parts on display are considered in-use and must be handled, powered on, or moved only by the site-rep. Any damage or missing pieces will be billed as damages. We recommend scouting to confirm what is available, as specific pieces cannot be guaranteed. Furnishings & Props The lab includes technical shelving, desks, and courtesy props such as spare parts, monitors, and circuit boards. Items are provided as-is and may change between bookings. If you do not see or test it during your scout, do not count on it being available on the day of your shoot. Gear Available Rent where you shoot and save time on transport. We offer cameras (RED, Sony, Blackmagic), cine lenses, Aputure lights, Litepanels, Quasars, grip gear, hazers, and more. Reach out if you would like a full gear list or have specific requests. Additional Amenities Shared breakspace area, restrooms, tables, chairs, refrigerator, microwave, sinks, and make-up mirrors included. Private air-conditioned holding spaces and production offices are available the same day at $50, $100, $250, and $500. Inquire for details. It's a great space, and it went super smooth from a logistics standpoint. Loading in and out was easy with a back entrance. AJ was very helpful and responsive to questions I had. We did run into one issue. As there are other locations people book at this venue, we had issues hearing sound from outside the room, which resulted in us having to stop a few takes due to noise. I would inquire if there will be other bookings the same day as your production date(s).

1 of 3 locations rented. Cool space. AJ was accommodating. Things to note: -This room can get a bit warm. -ceiling are 7 ft. -lighting is daylight not blue so walls are white.

- Any damage will result in a minimum $200 fine or repair at cost, whichever is greater
- Any trash or debris left by your production including water bottles, chip bags etc. will result in a $75 fine
- Any trash or debris left on-set including empty water bottles, chip bags, tape will result in $150 cleaning fee
- Damage to any lab equipment will be billed to the production
- Equipment and items in the lab may be used/moved only under the supervision of the site-rep
- Fake blood left on site will result in a $150 cleaning fee
